ALEXANDRIA, Va. — This Friday, June 6, marks the 87th annual National Donut Day, an extra sweet holiday celebrated across the nation on the first Friday of every June. Established by The Salvation Army, the tradition was created to honor the organization’s volunteers — known as “Donut Lassies” — who provided care and served donuts to soldiers during World War I. Today, National Donut Day remains a time to reflect on the Donut Lassies’ selfless acts of service and a time to recognize veterans’ bravery.

The following defendants were indicted for illegally reentering the United States after having previously been deported:

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service is deploying resources to assist the wildfire response currently impacting Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Alberta, Canada. The Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Center raised the wildfire preparedness level to 5 on May 29, 2025, as the country is experiencing very high to extreme wildfire activity. USDA deployed an airtanker to Alberta, on May 31st, and the United States is mobilizing over 150 firefighters and support personnel to assist with the Canadian wildfire response. The United States is also mobilizing other equipment including sprinkler kits, pumps, and hoses.

FORT McCOY, Wis. — This year, 75 warriors divided into 15 squads to endure six grueling, challenge-filled days during the U.S. Army Reserve Command Best Squad Competition. The 200th Military Police Command’s squad emerged victorious. The squad, consisting of Staff Sgt. Christian Leonard, Sgt. Aaron Court, Spc. Serge Fenn, Pfc. Luke Griguolo and Pvt. 2nd Class Seth Stetz, demonstrated resilience and exceptional teamwork to secure the annual top honor.

Cpl. Alexander Clark of the 416th Theater Engineer Command was named NCO of the Year, and Spc. Toby Chapman of the 79th Theater Sustainment Command was named Enlisted Soldier of the Year.

Concord, NH – The United States Marshals Service District of New Hampshire (USMS D/NH) has successfully apprehended fugitive Kristyanna Hall (31) by the USMS Central District of California (C/CA) Fugitive Task Force in Sherman Oaks, California. Hall had fled New Hampshire with her four children, defying court orders that required her to relinquish custody in early February.

The arrest comes just six days after the children were safely recovered by the U.S. Marshals Service and law enforcement partners from a motel in Ontario, California, over fifty miles from where Hall was ultimately found.
