Youth Commission Applications
The Town of Florence is seeking 14 to 18-year-old applicants for the newly created Florence Youth Commission. Selected Florence resident applicants will represent youth interests and act as a direct voice to Town staff and the Mayor and Town Council. Applications are available in the counselor’s office at Florence High School, the Community Center, 778 N. Main or online at http://www.florenceaz.gov/parks-and-recreation.
Open Studio
The next Open Studio is on Tuesday, November 6th from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Suter House, located at 270 N. Pinal Street. Artists are welcome to bring their own materials to this creative and motivational setting to share a love of art. Tables, easels, stools and chairs are available. This is a free program.
Junior Parada Parade
Tradition will be on display at the annual Junior Parada Parade and Rodeo. The parade begins on Saturday, November 24th at 10:00 a.m. along historic downtown Main Street and will feature a variety of floats and numerous riders. The rodeo, presented by the Pinal County Mounted Posse, begins the day before on Friday, November 23rd at noon at the Charles Whitlow Rodeo Grounds, 11608 South Highway 79. The rodeo entry fee is only $10 per carload or $5 with a nonperishable food item donated to the American Legion. Following the rodeo on Saturday, the Posse is hosting a steak fry with entertainment provided by the Tenth and Main Street Band.
