WASHINGTON - Rep. Mac Thornberry, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, made the following statement after the successful demonstration of the nation's homeland defense against an ICBM-class target:

"This test is a warning to the dictator in North Korea that he won't be allowed to threaten the US and its allies. In the NDAA this year, we will double-down on that message by making significant new investments to make good on the President's promise to develop and deploy a 'state of the art' missile defense system"

The Chairman's Indo-Asia-Pacific Bill would authorize $2.1 billion to enhance our presence in Asia, including $1 billion to procure additional missile defense interceptors to counter the regional ballistic missile threat, including from North Korea.   back...
