Here are 50 reasons why President Donald J. Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill is the best chance in a generation to pass critical reforms for which Americans voted:

It delivers the largest tax cut in American history. This means an extra $5,000 in Americans’ pockets with a DOUBLE-DIGIT percent DECREASE to their tax bills. Americans earning between $30,000 and $80,000 will pay around 15% less in taxes.

It makes the Trump Tax Cuts permanent, preventing the largest tax increase ever. If the bill doesn’t pass, Americans will see the largest tax increase in history.

It raises Americans’ take-home pay by as much as $13,300 and wages by as much as $11,600.

HOAX: People will “literally die” because of the One Big Beautiful Bill.

This is one of Democrats’ most disgusting lies because the One Big Beautiful Bill strengthens and protects the social safety net for every eligible American citizen who needs it.

FACT: Medicaid will be strengthened for the American citizens for whom the program was designed — pregnant women, children, people with disabilities, low-income seniors, and other vulnerable low-income families. By removing at least 1.4 million illegal immigrants from the program, ending taxpayer-funded gender mutilation surgeries for minors, and eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse, the One Big Beautiful Bill will ensure Medicaid better serves the American people.

WASHINGTON — This morning, at the weekly House Republican Leadership press conference, Speaker Johnson addressed House Democrats engaging in a physical altercation with ICE agents and provided an update on budget reconciliation.

On House Democrats engaging in a physical altercation with ICE officers:

Three Democrat members of Congress got into a physical altercation with our ICE agents outside the Delaney Hall Detention Center in New Jersey. What a spectacle that was, what a horrible display for our children to see. Amid a long list of shameful and embarrassing episodes this year, that altercation, I think it takes the cake. I think it's a new low for congressional Democrats. Instead of condemning the action, of course, the Democrat leadership in the House sent out a statement of support. My friend Hakeem Jeffries said, “We will never bend the knee.” Bend the knee to what, Hakeem? To ICE?

MONTGOMERY – Governor Kay Ivey on Monday signed Senate Bill 158, designed to strengthen Alabama law against illegal immigrants and other noncitizen voting, and Senate Bill 63, requiring law enforcement to collect and submit fingerprints and DNA samples from illegal immigrants already in custody.

“Alabama is taking steps to protect our communities from impacts on public safety and the integrity of our elections,” said Governor Ivey. “These bills will do just that by closing a loophole in state law concerning voter ID while also further enhancing law enforcement’s ability to effectively identify illegal immigrants with criminal records.”

Washington, DC - Congressman Van Drew released the following statement in support of President Trump's executive order, signed today, which will tie what Medicare pays for prescription drugs to the lowest prices paid in other developed countries.

"Today, President Trump took a bold step to lower prescription drug prices for Americans, and I fully support it," said Congressman Van Drew. "For far too long, American families have been stuck paying outrageous prices for the same drugs sold at a fraction of the cost in other countries. This has to change. In fact, I will be introducing the Fair Prescription Drug Prices for Americans Act in the coming days to build on the President's action. This bill will make it illegal for drug manufacturers to charge Medicare and privately insured Americans more than what they charge in other countries like Canada, the United Kingdom, or Japan. If they exceed that amount, they will face serious civil monetary penalties of ten times the difference in price for every single dose sold under those insurance plans. It is time to put the interests of the American people first and stop letting Big Pharma get away with price gouging."   more...
Washington, D.C. — The House Veterans Affairs Committee passed H.R. 1364, the Automotive Support Services to Improve Safe Transportation (ASSIST) Act. This bipartisan legislation introduced by Congressman Tom Barrett (MI-07) and Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander (NH-02) would help disabled veterans make the vehicle modifications they need to travel safely by giving the VA greater flexibility to offer financial assistance for a wider range of necessary adaptations.
