WASHINGTON – The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Danny Granados-Garcia, a violent criminal illegal alien MS-13 gangbanger from El Salvador, who is wanted in his home country for murdering a pastor.
On May 6, 2016, United States Border Patrol apprehended Danny Granados-Garcia as he attempted to illegally enter the country as an unaccompanied minor near the Rio Grande Valley, Texas Border Patrol Sector. He was released into the U.S. under the Obama Administration.
El Salvadorian authorities previously issued an arrest warrant for this criminal for his involvement in MS-13 who allegedly murdered a pastor.
“Thanks to ICE this MS-13 gang member wanted for murdering a pastor in his home country is off Connecticut streets. This is an example of an arrest the media counts as a ‘non-criminal’ because he lacks a rap sheet in the United States. This is an insane categorization and just one example of the countless ‘non-criminals’ who are public safety threats that ICE is removing from our communities every single day,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens convicted or charged with a crime in the U.S. ”
ICE tracked arrested Granados-Garcia during a targeted field operation in Waterbury, Connecticut on March 10.
He will remain in ICE custody until he is deported.
