DoW Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of War announced the death of a National Guard Soldier who was supporting Operation Spartan Shield. Maj. Sorffly Davius, 46, of Cambria Heights, Queens, N.Y., died on March 6, 2026, in Camp Buehring, Kuwait, as a result of a non-combat related incident. The Soldier was assigned to the Headquarters, Headquarters Battalion, 42nd Infantry Division, Troy, N.Y. The incident is under investigation.
