“GO!” Evacuation Notification for Miami Area Residents West of the Miami Town Limits “SET” notification for Miami, Claypool, parts of Central Heights and the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in Gila County

For current evacuation information, residents are advised to monitor Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and Gila County Sheriff’s Office notifications. High temperatures, low humidity and gusty winds will continue to promote rapid fire spread as the week progresses. Today fire crews monitored areas where successful burnout operations were conducted and prepared for additional burnouts. Crews also scouted areas that had the potential to hold the fire in order to protect communities and infrastructure.

EVACUATION INFORMATION: Pinal County Sheriff’s Office issued a “GO!” alert for Top-of-the-World residents earlier today and Oak Flat Campground was evacuated yesterday. The Town of Superior is currently in “SET-Be Alert” status. Tonight, a “GO!” notification has been issued for Miami area residents west of Miami Town limits, and a “SET” notification issued for Miami, Claypool, parts of Central Heights and the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center.
