The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of FBI “Ten Most Wanted Fugitive” Eduardo “Tablas” Ravelo. Ravelo is wanted on charges related to the murders of a pregnant United States consulate employee, her husband, and the husband of a second United States consulate employee. Ravelo is alleged to have been involved in criminal activity as a member of the Barrio Azteca gang since 2003.

Seven years ago this month, three ruthless murders took place in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, just minutes away from the international border with the United States. On March 13, 2010, Barrio Azteca gang members, allegedly acting at the direction of Ravelo, shot and killed United States consulate employee Lesley Enriquez, age 35, who was four months pregnant; her husband Arthur Redelfs, an El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Detention Officer; and Jorge Alberto Salcido Ceniceros, whose wife also worked at the United States Consulate in Ciudad Juarez. The seven-month-old daughter of Enriquez and Redelfs was also with them in their car, but was not injured. All three victims were returning home from a child’s birthday party. Enriquez and Redelfs were in one vehicle, and Salcido Ceniceros was in another vehicle when they were violently attacked and murdered.

Ravelo was indicted in El Paso, Texas, by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas, on January 9, 2008, on multiple charges stemming from his activities on behalf of the Barrio Azteca gang, including racketeering, money laundering, and conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances.

On October 20, 2009, Ravelo was added to the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list. He is only the second person from the El Paso area ever to be placed on the FBI “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list.

On March 9, 2011, Ravelo was indicted a second time on numerous additional charges, to include charges stemming from his involvement in the murder of Lesley Enriquez and her husband.

FBI El Paso is launching a publicity effort on the seventh anniversary of the murders to seek information from the public. The publicity effort to capture Ravelo includes social media publicity, video public service announcements, and digital billboards in the El Paso area with expanded coverage where needed. The digital billboards are made possible through the generous donation of Clear Channel Outdoor advertising.

“It is a tremendous injustice for the victims, their loved ones and the community whenever a murder goes unsolved,” said FBI Special Agent in Charge of the El Paso Division, Douglas E. Lindquist. “Ravelo has been charged in connection with an extremely violent murder which took a young woman from her family and deprived a baby girl of her mother’s love forever. The FBI will never forget, and will continue to aggressively pursue Eduardo Ravelo until he is located, captured, and brought to justice.”

Ravelo is known to have used a variety of aliases to include: Eduardo Rabelo, Eduardo Rabelo-Rodriguez, Eduardo Acevedo, Eddie Ravelo, Eduardo Simental Ruiz, Eduardo Saenz, Eddie Rabelo, Javier, Antonio Rivas, Santilian Payan, and Santiago.
