NEW YORK Verizon has added a new channel to the FiOS TV lineup: FEARnet, a horror, thriller and suspense movie network. Already available on FiOS TV Video on Demand, FEARnet is now a permanent channel in FiOS TV's Extreme and Ultimate packages.

"As we add more and more programming to our FiOS TV lineup, we look for channels like FEARnet that help fill a specific genre," said Terry Denson, vice president of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon. "Making FEARnet available as a linear channel, in addition to our already existing VOD programming, means that our customers will have greater access to this exciting lineup of horror movies."

Peter Block, president and general manager of FEARnet, said, "We're excited to make FEARnet's unrivaled modern thriller, suspense and horror library available on Verizon FiOS TV. This new linear channel will extend FEARnet's broad devoted fan base of 26 million VOD household subscribers, offering consumers the best titles in the genre and making FEARnet a true multiplatform network."

Available on FiOS TV Channel 197, FEARnet is the world's premier destination for horror, thriller and suspense movies. The movie network makes its content available 24/7 on demand, online and on mobile devices. FEARnet's online outlet, www.fearnet.com, is the No. 1 horror website, where users can explore the world of the macabre on a visually arresting video-rich environment, packed with movies, interactive community features and fresh original content.

FEARnet joins FiOS TV's broad collection of programming, featuring more than 520 all-digital channels including up to 140 HD channels and 18,000 monthly video-on-demand titles. FiOS also provides next-generation interactive services including an advanced interactive media guide; social networking, news and entertainment widgets; remote DVR management via broadband or cell phone; and more.
